Yesterday was such a great day to be on the water, the weather was 33 degrees, the seas were just fine and the fishing was great. We started off a little slow but did it ever pick up. We caught 8 King Salmon ranging from 16 to 24 pounds a piece in the space of 3 hours time. Not bad for a bunch of old guys. Keep your tip up and a tight line.
The weather has not been the best around here the last 3 weeks. Hoping next week with smaller tides, the weather will let us get out. Keep your tip up and your line tight.
The kings have been a little slow around Seldovia the last couple of weeks due to the winds out southwest and west. The fishing may be a little slow but the kings are of good size. The mornings have been cool but warming up as the sun comes over the mountains. Come see Seldovia and spend a couple of days with us.
It is that time of year to start thinking about fishing for winter kings out of Seldovia. The summer run of kings was good along with the weather. Think what you could do this winter instead of sitting looking at the boob tube. Call us any time to check out the fishing. Thanks to everyone who made our summer.
The Kings have been up and down, they are catching a lot of kings at the Seldovia Bridge on herring and plugs. The halibut fishing has been good with a lot of 15 or so pounders.
The weather has been raining but the fishing for kings has been steady. looks like the weather for the rest of the week will be good, so come to Seldovia and have a good time on Veronica Mae and may be even catch your limit of salmon. Keep a tight line and your tip up.
The seas have been good but the rain is here. The kings are here but you are not. The fishing has been good but the kings have been running around the 12 pound mark. there is always a chance of the big one though. Start thinking about fresh salmon for dinner and come on down and enjoy yourself on the Veronica Mae. Keep a tight line and keep your tip up.
I want to thank all our Fishing Partners this past Halibut season. I always tell our fishing partners,” we are out here to have fun, and if we catch a fish that’s a bonus.” We not only had fun but we caught so many halibut their arms were tired at the end of the day. We are looking forward to this years winter king season again, and hope we have another mild winter this year. Last winter we had so much fun fishing for kings no one went home empty. Now that the summer fun is over, I will be able to keep you abreast on how the winter kings are doing. So keep your rod tip up and your line tight.
Boy the winter kings have been hitting good. There are a few small one ( 8 to 10 LB) but are starting to get the 20 pounders plus. The weather will be coming down in the next day or two, so plan on going fishing the next few days. Keep your tip up and keep your line tight.
